Before applying online, you should ensure your athlete meets all of our eligibility criteria. This includes playing for a partner club. You can find a list of the clubs we have partnered with here.
You should apply for a scholarship as soon as your athlete has earned a spot on a competitive team. This could be through tryouts or registration. An application must be submitted to Chance Sports for each athlete you would like to apply for. You may apply for more than one athlete in your family. We do not guarantee any members of your family will receive a scholarship. Follow the link at the bottom of this page to apply.
Once you have applied, you will receive an automated “Thank You” email. If you have questions, you may reply to this email.
If your athlete is awarded a scholarship, you will hear from us via email and text message with next step on how to access your scholarship funds.
If your athlete is not awarded a scholarship, you will hear from us only via email.
We receive thousands of applications each year and review every single one. There are numerous factors involved when awarding an athlete a scholarship. We take over a dozen components into consideration when making our decisions. Here are some examples of the determinants that play a role in selecting athletes:

For example, if you applied on July 12, 2025, you would receive notification from us with a decision by July 31, 2025.

Awarded Athletes: You are eligible to renew your scholarship award each year as long as you continue to meet the criteria to be awarded and complete three annual requirements.

No, we are not able to guarantee scholarships for any athletes. We receive thousands of applications every year and are a small non-profit trying to make a difference where we can.
We award anywhere from 20-70 athletes each month. Keep in mind we receive thousands of applications each year. This is a highly sought after award and not all athletes will be awarded.
No, sólo concedemos becas a deportistas de competición.
Our scholarships can be used by athletes to pay for club fees, tournaments fees, equipment, uniforms and travel (flight, hotel, gas).

No, no hay plazos. Las becas se revisan y conceden mensualmente. Recomendamos solicitar una beca una vez que su hijo haya probado o se haya inscrito para jugar en un equipo competitivo. El equipo del club verificará la plaza de su hijo en el equipo.

Yes, as long as you meet the eligibility requirements, you are able to apply for each of your children. This does not guarantee any of your children will receive a scholarship.
