For 12-year-old Alan D., soccer is an opportunity to compete, grow and pursue a future built around the game he loves. The Denver-based left winger is now in his third year as a Chance Sports athlete and competes at the ECNL Elite U13 level with Colorado Storm. Alan and his teammates have already celebrated championship success at both the Real Cup and Players Cup. His development isn't limited to the field. As a 7th-grade student, Alan especially enjoys math and social studies, while his interests outside of soccer include music and art. His family describes him as a young person who demonstrates leadership among his peers and continues to work toward becoming better each day, both academically and athletically. For Alan, the support provided by Chance Sports has helped make competitive soccer more accessible while giving him an opportunity to continue developing toward his goals. His impact extends beyond the stat sheet. Miles' coach describes him as one of the hardest-working players at the school, with a high basketball IQ and leadership ability that makes him an extension of the coaching staff. He brings that same commitment to academics, maintaining a 3.5 weighted GPA. Away from basketball, Miles enjoys music, spending time with family, video games, dog sitting and encouraging others throughout the basketball community.

In His Words

“First of all, I want to thank God and my parents for helping me in soccer. I also want to thank Chance Sports for the economic help because without you guys or my parents, I wouldn’t be here. I hope that I can keep moving forward in my future and give all my effort. Thank you.”
